    examines stonecutters who:

    • lived and worked between 1770 and 1870;

    • in Plymouth and Kingston, MA, all of Cape Cod and the Islands.

    • It also discusses other, early 19th-century stonecutters who shipped their work to this area from
        Boston and other towns in Plymouth County.

    Volume I focuses on:

• the lives of these craftsmen, drawing on a variety of primary historical sources;
